Lock Me

Terms of Use

Last updated: 30 October 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Plagueworks ("we", "us") for the Lock Me Android app. By installing or using Lock Me, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.

What Lock Me is

Lock Me lets you lock your phone without the power button: from a widget, a Quick Settings tile or a shortcut, or automatically when you put it face down, give it a shake, your watch disconnects or at the times you choose. It is a convenience tool. It is not a security, anti-theft or safety product, and it must not be relied on as one.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 years old to use Lock Me. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use it only with the consent of a parent or guardian, who accepts these Terms for you. You may use Lock Me only on a phone you own or are allowed to set up.

Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use Lock Me on your own devices, under these Terms and the Google Play Terms of Service. Lock Me, its name, design and code remain ours. You may not copy, modify, decompile or reverse engineer the app (except where the law allows it despite this term), remove its notices, resell or redistribute it, or use it to break the law or harm others.

Free week and subscription

  • Your first 7 days are free. No payment details are needed for the free week, and it is offered once per phone.
  • After the free week, Lock Me needs a subscription. Plans, prices and any introductory offer are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency, and may change. A price change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and Google Play tells you about it before it applies.
  • Purchases are made and billed through Google Play, under its terms. The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
  • You can cancel at any time in Google Play (Payments & subscriptions, then Subscriptions). Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have paid for.
  • When your free week or subscription ends, Lock Me stops locking your phone until you subscribe. The automatic ways to lock that you had turned on are switched off, and come back when you subscribe.
  • If you change phones or reinstall the app, use Restore purchases in Lock Me's Settings while signed in to the same Google account.

Refunds

Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy. Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are not refundable and partial periods are not refunded. If you think something went wrong with a purchase, contact us and we will look into it.

What Lock Me needs from your phone

To lock your screen, Lock Me needs you to turn it on in Android's Accessibility settings, and some ways to lock need further permissions that you choose to give. How each one is used is explained in thePrivacy Policy. Android, your phone maker, battery saving settings, Advanced Protection or other apps may limit, delay or turn off Lock Me at any time, and these are outside our control.

Changes to the app

We may update Lock Me, and add, change or remove features, at any time. We may also stop offering the app. If we stop offering it, we will stop renewing subscriptions.

No warranty

Lock Me is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or that it will work without interruption or errors, on every phone, or at any particular moment. You install and use Lock Me at your own responsibility and risk, and you are responsible for the security of your phone and your data.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Plagueworks and its developer are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for any loss of data, loss of access to your device, unauthorised access to your device, loss of profits or any other loss, arising from or related to your use of, or inability to use, Lock Me, including when it fails to lock, locks unexpectedly, or is limited or turned off by Android, your phone maker or other apps. This applies to the services of third parties such as Google Play and RevenueCat as well.

Where the law does not allow our liability to be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for Lock Me in the 12 months before the claim.

Indemnity

You agree to hold Plagueworks and its developer harmless from any claims, losses or costs arising from your misuse of Lock Me or your breach of these Terms.

Ending these Terms

You can stop using Lock Me at any time by uninstalling it; remember to cancel your subscription in Google Play as well. We may suspend or end your licence if you break these Terms. The sections on no warranty, limitation of liability, indemnity and governing law continue to apply after these Terms end.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Mauritius, and the courts of Mauritius have jurisdiction over any dispute about them. If you are a consumer, this does not take away the protection of the laws of the country where you live.

General

If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a part of these Terms is not a waiver of it. These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about Lock Me. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have under the law that cannot be waived.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the app after any changes means you accept the updated Terms.
